Paul is 6-0 in the boxing ring, having beaten AnEsonGib, Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, and Tyron Woodley twice. In his last fight in October, “The Problem Child” beat MMA legend Anderson Silva via unanimous decision. The 26-year-old was supposed to fight Hasim Rahman Jr. in August, but issues surrounding Rahman’s weight forced the fight to get called off.

“The moment of truth has finally arrived,” said Paul. “On February 26th, I will get in the ring with a ‘real boxer,’ an 8-0 fighter from a storied fighting family and show the world the truth about who Jake Paul, the boxer really is.”

Fury, a Love Island U.K. alum, made his pro debut in 2018. He won his last fight in April against Daniel Bocianski. In November, he faced Rolly Lambert in a non-scored bout. The half-brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, Tommy was meant to fight Paul Bamba, but a weight disagreement forced an opponent change.

This fight is years in the making. Paul and Fury were supposed to fight twice. Fury pulled out of a bout with Paul in December 2021 because of a rib injury. The two were then scheduled to fight one another in August 2022. Visa issues for Fury forced the bout to get canceled again. He was denied entry to the United States. The issue was with his ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authority) documents.

“Tommy has no excuses now…Baby’s born. Money’s massive. Immigration no issue.

“Tyson promises he & Papa will make Tommy retire from boxing & change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber.”
