Tom Brady has not had the greatest of autumns, personally or professionally, to put it mildly. His in-season divorce from Gisele Bundchen and the sudden collapse of cryptocurrency exchange FTX have intersected with a mediocre start to his 23rd NFL campaign.

Tom Brady has been around the NFL for a while now. That would be 23 years to be exact. And evidently, he’s seen better football than the quality in his 23rd season.

Tom Brady decided to retire during the 2022 NFL offseason after 22 seasons in the NFL. His career-ending announcement was short-lived. Brady’s retirement lasted all of 40 days before he announced he was returning to the Buccaneers to play his age-45 season.

Don’t worry — you won’t be seeing five more years of Tom Brady. That is, at least, according to the quarterback himself. Brady made the decision to retire, then swiftly un-retire, this offseason, spending just 40 days away from the field.

Tom Brady will be playing for his third NFL head coach in 2022. Bruce Arians is moving to the Buccaneers' front office for next season, with defensive coordinator Todd Bowles promoted to replace him.
