Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz took his maiden victory in Formula 1 as he held off the chasing pack during an enthralling 2022 British Grand Prix. In a race that was red flagged on lap one due to a huge accident involving Alfa Romeo’s Zhou Guanyu heading into the first corner, the Spaniard held his nerve to fight off attacks from teammate Charles Leclerc and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton throughout to take his first race win.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed his sixth win of the 2022 F1 season to extend his lead at the top of the drivers' championship. The Dutch star managed to hold off Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz as the Spaniard pushed for his maiden F1 victory up until the very last lap.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen dominated the latter stages of the 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix to take the race win and extend his world championship lead as Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz both suffered engine problems and had to retire in Baku.

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez took the chequered flag in an eventful 2022 Monaco Grand Prix to keep his outside world championship hopes alive. In a race which saw the start delayed due to heavy rainfall, before it was twice red-flagged following more wet weather and a big crash involving Haas driver Mick Schumacher, Perez drove the perfect race to claim top spot and 25 all-important points.

Max Verstappen moved top of the driver’s standings with victory at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday. Previous championship leader Charles Leclerc retired on lap 28 with power problems, having looked comfortably on course for victory after qualifying in pole.
