The NFL doesn’t hand out the Super Bowl host site to just any stadium. There are several factors taken into account when the league picks where its championship will be played.
The stadium has to seat at least 70,000, with either a roof or a gameday temperature above 50 degrees. It needs to have space for pregame entertainment and the interactive theme park. It needs to have enough hotels around the area to seat around 35 percent of the stadium capacity.
There’s many more requirements as well, but the point is, it’s not easy to become the host site.

Super Bowl 2023: Glendale/Phoenix
State Farm Stadium is no stranger to hosting the Super Bowl. It most recently hosted the big game back in 2015 for the second time, seven years removed from its first time hosting in 2008. It had previously been called the University of Phoenix Stadium for its.
The only other time Arizona has hosted the Super Bowl came in 1996, when Sun Devil Stadium held the game.

Super Bowl 2024: Las Vegas
The second youngest stadium in the NFL, Allegiant Stadium will host the Super Bowl in its fifth year of housing the Raiders. The stadium opened in July 2020 ahead of the Raiders' first season in Las Vegas, though it did not begin hosting fans until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the second-most expensive sports stadium ever built at $1.9 billion, behind only SoFi Stadium.
The domed stadium can seat 71,835 people and has a grass field.
Allegiant Stadium has already hosted several major events, including the 2021 PAc-12 Championship, the Las Vegas Bowl, the 2022 Pro Bowl and the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup Final.
Super Bowl 2025: New Orleans
No stadium has hosted the Super Bowl more than the now-Caesars Superdome. It has previously hosted the Super Bowl 1978, 1981, 1986, 1989, 1997, 2002 and 2013. It held the first six Super Bowls as the Louisiana Superdome before it was renamed to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in 2011. This will be the first time it has hosted the game as the Caesars Superdome.
The Caesars Superdome is a domed stadium that can hold up to 76,468 for football games. It has a turf field.
The venue has hosted plenty of major events over the years. It is the annual home of the Sugar Bowl and the New Orleans Bowl, and it hosted the BCS National Championship four times. It hosts College Football Playoff semifinal games every three years, when the Sugar Bowl is one of the semifinal matchups. It has also hosted several baseball games, Men’s Final Fours, U.S. Women’s National Team soccer matches, and major boxing matchups.
